Perception and Deception in Nurses’ Clinical and Work-Related Professional Autonomy: Case Study for a Hospital in Romania

The continuous expansion of the nursing scope practice, undeniable growth nurses’ role in healthcare crisis, shortage labor, especially rural areas and marginalized urban csommunities, last but not least, lack literature on Romanian autonomy are some background factors this study. This study’s purpose is to assess perceptions their medical care independence. main hypothesis that more advanced levels education generate a greater inclination toward autonomous interventions. quantitative research based survey using self-designed questionnaire as tool (based nurse-focused structure process indicators following Donabedian model) applied clinical hospital. Based review, three composite were developed tested for reliability Cronbach alpha coefficient. These reflect from perspectives: practice independence, relation work, through digitalization. scientific approach revealed major impact regulatory framework autonomy, below expectations use, acceptance digital technologies among nurses. Finally, it was observed college graduate nurses perceive lower independence than post-secondary ones.
